Visualise Your Way To SUCCESS

Why does visualisation help to build success?

Well, let me ask you this: what have all great sports people got in common? They see their success in their mind’s eye before they get anywhere near the sports field. They don’t do it in a half-hearted way, either. Their visualisation is FELT in a deep way. They live this experience in their minds with passion and with as many of their senses as possible.

Many successful sportsmen and women have said that they have completed their event (successfully) in their minds hundreds of times more than they have actually done so physically.

Why is this technique so effective?

Well your subconscious cannot distinguish between real and imaginary experiences. It treats them the same way. I’ll use a horror film as an example for you. How many times have you been scared by a really tense & frightening horror film? But were you actually attacked by werewolves, ghosts or goulies? No… but your body may have reacted as if it were really happening… quickened heart rate, shallower sharper breathing, tensing of muscles, dilating of pupils… i.e. exactly the bodily changes you need for fight or flight. All because of the imagery that was fed into your mind… nothing real there at all.

One of the really exciting things about visualisation is what it actually does, physically. When a great sports person physically practices his or her sport, they build and enhance the neural pathways in their brain to make their body do the things it needs to do to achieve the desired result. So a hurdler who practices regularly will create the physical pathways, synapses, and other neural components in their mind and body to be good at hurdling. Once these neural pathways are in place, their subconscious can take over & make the running of their event to maximum performance… a seemingly effortless occurrence!

The amazing thing is that when the hurdler visualises doing his or her event, especially when they visualise in the special ways like those we will detail in future volumes of this magazine, they build the same neural pathways as if they were practicing physically. How cool is that!

So visualisation is a direct method by which you can influence your subconscious mind… and it is your subconscious mind that holds the key to your success in every aspect of your life.

What areas of our lives can we use visualisation for?

Visualisation can be used to create success in every area of your life. It effectively harnesses the Law of Attraction in a very purposeful way because you are actively putting out the message into the ether about what it is, exactly, that you want.

From an internal point of view, you are also convincing your subconscious that your vision of the future is actually reality. Once this convincing has occurred, your subconscious behaves as if it has already happened and you move automatically towards that goal.

These two processes, the seemingly separate internal effect (i.e. from working on your subconscious) and the seemingly external effect (i.e. in relation to the operation of the Law of Attraction), are actually one and the same. The process is fully integrated, so you only have to focus on the internal changes to bring about all the benefits of the Law of Attraction. This is why visualisation is so powerful.

Some examples of how visualisation can totally transform your life:

  • By creating all the wealth and abundance you want and need
  • By generating or improving loving relationships in your life
  • By enabling you to achieve all your ambitions
  • By smoothing all issues you might come across in the working environment
  • By giving you sporting success
  • By creating better health
  • By making you happy
  • Hmmm… sounds good to me!

We’ll be looking at how specific visualisation techniques can be used in various areas of your life in future volumes.

Are there different ways that people visualise best?

    Yes, there are...
